Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Talent Management will lead the design and execution of enterprise talent management practices that strengthen performance, leadership readiness, and talent depth across Nordstrom.
Responsibilities- Set and evolve an enterprise talent management strategy that supports performance, leadership strength, and long‑term organizational readiness.
- Lead and develop a team of program managers, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to deliver complex enterprise talent initiatives.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to align talent priorities with business strategy and workforce needs.
- Design, scale, and govern enterprise talent frameworks, tools, and systems that enable consistent, high‑impact practices.
- Lead core talent cycles, including performance and talent calibrations, succession planning, assessments, and development planning.
- Translate talent data and insights into clear, actionable guidance that strengthens talent decisions and organizational health.
- Collaborate across HR and the business to deliver inclusive, integrated talent solutions that enhance both leader and employee experiences.
- 8+ years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, HR, or a related field.
- Demonstrated technical expertise leading enterprise talent management practices, including performance management, succession planning, and talent planning.
- Proven experience designing and delivering scalable talent frameworks, models, or processes at the enterprise level.
- Strong capability using talent data, assessments, and organizational insights to inform strategy and drive action.
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders through sound judgment, facilitation, and credibility.
- Leadership experience setting direction, developing others, and delivering complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance long‑term strategy with operational execution.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and program management skills.
- Experience with Workday Talent modules preferred.
- A strong commitment to inclusive talent practices and building representative leadership pipelines.
This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to work onsite four (4) days per week and live within a commutable distance of Nordstrom’s corporate offices in downtown Seattle, WA.
