Join our expanding team as a Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter in our new state‑of‑the‑art 132‑bed behavioral health facility. Prairie St. John’s has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. Accredited by The Joint Commission, it is the largest freestanding behavioral health facility in the region, caring for more than 5,000 patients each year.
Scopeof Position
In this role, you’ll provide support to the Human Resource Director and leadership, primarily in recruiting, the new hire experience, employee engagement and recognition, and federal and state compliance. You will also serve as a role model for staff and management, consistently representing the standards of service excellence. The HR Generalist is responsible for the efficient delivery of HR services, providing guidance on HR policies and processes, and monitoring, evaluating, and reporting progress on key metrics.
You will support the HR Director by providing human resources analysis and support services to maximize the effectiveness of HR processes that promote the organization’s strategic objectives.
This position supports programs that identify and fulfill talent needs, talent integration and employee development to meet the overall HR strategy. Through partnerships, you will help educate, advise, and support management on issues involving, but not limited to, employee retention, performance management, coaching, onboarding, new‑hire orientation, organizational development, and change management. You will serve as an employee champion and communicate needs proactively with the HR Director and leadership, translating mid‑range plans into operating results.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/human resources or related field (preferred)
- Recruiting experience in healthcare or behavioral health (preferred)
- PHR/SPHR or other professional certification (preferred, but not required)
- Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources or Recruiting
- Understanding of North Dakota and federal employment laws, reducing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization
