About

The Role

The role drives the day-to-day people operations, employee relations, and compliance frameworks for a rapidly growing engineering and product office in Seattle. Serving as the primary point of contact for employees, the role translates HR policy into clean, scalable processes that support a high-performing technical team.

This position acts as a trusted advisor to mid-level managers on performance management, compensation planning, and local employment law. Operating in a hybrid model, the role bridges corporate HR initiatives with localized team culture to ensure consistent, compliant, and engaging employee life cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers, and leaves of administration within Workday.
  • Partner with front-line managers to resolve employee relations inquiries, conducting objective investigations and delivering corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Administer localized benefits, compensation reviews, and wellness programs in compliance with Washington state and Seattle municipal labor laws.
  • Facilitate annual and mid-year performance calibration cycles, training managers on constructive feedback and career development frameworks.
  • Analyze HR dashboard metrics, including attrition trends and engagement survey data, to propose and implement retention strategies.
  • Oversee office operations and hybrid-workplace logistics in the Seattle office, coordinating with IT, facilities, and external vendors.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience, preferably within a scaling technology company.
  • Deep working knowledge of federal, Washington state, and Seattle-specific employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on expertise utilizing modern HRIS systems (such as Workday, BambooHR, or Rippling) and service desk tools (such as Jira Service Desk).
  • Proven experience managing sensitive employee relations cases with discretion, empathy, and objective documentation practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bonus:
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP) and experience supporting hybrid engineering teams.
