Facility Trainer
Responsible for providing training for new hires and tenured employees through various learning methods.
Responsibilities:
- Provides company, regulatory, carrier or practical training for individual or group settings to new hire as well as tenured employees.
- Creates milestones to be achieved through training methods and create training plans.
- Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.
- Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered and evaluated for consistency.
- Observes employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and Safety Manager.
- Maintains training rosters and records with trainees and complies with appropriate training recordkeeping requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months related operational experience preferred.
- WFS or Carrier Instructor Certification.
- Current qualification and experience on training subject or learning plan.

- The ability to consider S&S as the number one priority at all times, respecting compliance, rules and regulations in all actions taken into the role.
- The ability to show one absorbs and understands important (non-) verbal information and to ask further questions when necessary.
- The ability to detect problems, recognize important information, and link various data; to trace potential causes and look for relevant details.
- Has and gains insight into situations, problems and processes.
Physical Requirements /
Working Conditions:
- Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Walk short distances.
- Reach above and/or below shoulder.
- Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
- Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
- Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
- Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
- Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
