Recruiter 2 - Software Development Engineer
This role focuses on full-cycle technical recruiting, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and hiring Software Development Engineers. The Recruiter 2 manages the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, reference checks, offer management, onboarding, and employee status changes. The position requires deep knowledge of talent acquisition practices, the ability to work autonomously, and the judgment to plan and accomplish hiring goals in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Role is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA.
- Source and attract qualified technical candidates, with a primary focus on Software Development Engineers at the SDE 2 and SDE 3 levels.
- Execute full-cycle recruiting activities, including screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates for technical and non-technical roles.
- Conduct detailed reference checks and verify candidate qualifications to ensure hiring decisions are well-informed and compliant with internal standards.
- Develop and present competitive offers, manage offer negotiations, and guide candidates through the acceptance process.
- Coordinate and conduct orientation activities for new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Perform exit interviews and accurately process changes in employee status, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Leverage applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting tools to manage pipelines, track candidate progress, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with hiring teams to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and align recruiting strategies with business needs.
- Use data, experience, and sound judgment to plan and accomplish hiring goals in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Lead and direct the work of other recruiting team members when needed, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
- Apply a wide degree of creativity and latitude in developing sourcing strategies, including targeting talent from large technology companies.
- Stay familiar with industry trends, technical skill sets, and best practices in talent acquisition to continuously improve recruiting effectiveness.
- 4+ years of sourcing experience, with a focus on technical recruiting.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, hiring, and sourcing for technical roles.
- Demonstrated success in technical sourcing for SDE 2 and SDE 3 positions.
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms.
- Strong technical recruiting knowledge within large technology environments.
- Ability to conduct structured interviews and evaluate candidates against defined role requirements.
- Experience performing reference checks, managing offers, and conducting orientation for new hires.
- Solid understanding of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures across the talent acquisition lifecycle.
- Capacity to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish recruiting and hiring goals.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in human resources, business, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in recruiting or a related area is strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting within large technology companies is highly desirable.
- Knowledge in technical recruiting for software engineering roles in complex organizations.
- Comfort leading and directing the work of others, including mentoring junior recruiters.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills when partnering with hiring teams.
- Ability to apply creativity and latitude in developing sourcing strategies and solving recruiting challenges.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
