, with primary ownership of full-cycle multi-state payroll and HR compliance. The role also supports benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and HRIS management using UKG

- Lead daily HR operations and act as the primary HR resource for employees and managers.
- Manage full-cycle, multi-state payroll accurately, confidentially, and on schedule.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, employee communications, and vendor coordination.
- Use UKG for HRIS administration, payroll, timekeeping, reporting, and employee data management.
- Support multi-state compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Advise managers on employee relations topics such as performance management, attendance, corrective action, and company policies.
- Conduct or support workplace investigations and recommend fair, consistent, and well-documented resolutions.
- Manage recruiting activities including interviewing, offers, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and handle confidential employee information.
- Coordinate leave administration, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes.
- Review and update employee policies, procedures, job descriptions, and the employee handbook.
- Prepare HR reports and identify opportunities to improve processes, compliance, communication, and employee retention.
- Partner with leadership and operations teams to support a safe, respectful, and productive workplace.
- At least three years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience.
- Hands-on experience managing payroll and benefits administration
. - Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with HRIS
, payroll, timekeeping, and Microsoft Office applications. - Ability to work on-site at the Seattle location.
- Experience supporting employees in multiple states.
- Experience using UKG Ready
, UKG Pro
, or related UKG modules. - Experience in construction, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or another operations-focused environment.
- Experience recruiting and interviewing for hourly and salaried positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
