Are you an experienced HR professional who likes having ownership, variety, and the ability to make a real impact?
Our client is a well-established, privately held company looking for an HR/Office Manager to serve as the go-to person for employees and leadership. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants the autonomy to take ownership of HR while helping create a great employee experience.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day HR function, from recruiting and employee relations to benefits, compliance, and engagement, while working closely with leadership to improve processes, support employees, and help the company continue to grow.
- Own day-to-day HR operations, policies, and compliance.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
- Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and terminations.
- Manage benefits, leave programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Help create a positive employee experience through company events, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate programs that support employees and managers.
- Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation.
- Manage HRIS systems and identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
- Support employment law and benefits compliance requirements.
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees and leadership.
- Oversee general office operations and help keep the workplace running smoothly.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with the confidence to independently manage a broad HR function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification a plus.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Adaptable, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
