The Apple Cloud Services Infrastructure team is seeking a senior engineering program manager to lead capacity management and operations across our cloud platform. You'll build the systems and processes that enable Apple's infrastructure to scale efficiently. You'll be responsible for capacity planning operations and tooling that spans data services, compute, networking, elastic disk, and elastic compute systems. Working with engineering, product, and business teams, you'll drive the roadmap for capacity planning tools, operational workflows, and resource optimization that power Apple's services at scale.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of senior program managers focused on capacity planning and operations for Apple's cloud infrastructure
- Establish cross‑functional partnerships with stakeholders, understanding their use cases and improving the ease of use of services
- Collaborate with Apple's Services engineering teams to define partnership strategies across Apple's cloud ecosystem
- Develop capacity forecasting frameworks and tooling that enable proactive planning across compute, storage, networking, and data services
- Translate product requirements into technical roadmaps, identifying risks early and partnering across teams to ensure successful delivery
- Drive operational excellence and build scalable processes that support Apple's growing infrastructure needs
- 10+ years in technical program management
- Experience building capacity management or resource optimization systems at scale
- Track record leading teams of program managers
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or related industry experience
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures
- Background in GPU/accelerator capacity planning or high‑performance computing
- Experience building capacity forecasting models or resource optimization tooling
- Familiarity with data services, storage systems, and network capacity planning
- AIML infrastructure or ML platform experience preferred
- Proven ability to influence senior engineering leaders and build consensus across organizations with competing priorities
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and the ability to make complex technical and business trade‑offs
- Self‑motivated and proactive; demonstrated ability to quickly triage, prioritize, and lead cross‑functional teams under pressure
- Track record of driving measurable improvements in team quality, performance, agility, or effectiveness
