This role supports a high-scale, rapidly evolving digital advertising environment where priorities shift quickly and perfect requirements are rare. The Senior Data Analyst will drive experimentation, measurement, and analytical insights that directly influence monetization strategy and real-time decisioning systems. Ideal candidates move fast, operate independently, and deliver high-quality insights under ambiguity.

Enable fast, high-confidence decision-making for monetization systems by delivering rigorous experimentation analysis, actionable insights, and clear storytelling. This analyst will improve how the team learns, reduces debate cycles, and guides product, engineering, and data science teams with crisp, trustworthy recommendations.

Team works on Pacific Time. Preference for Seattle-local candidates.

• Design, run, and interpret A/B tests and controlled experiments.
• Produce fast, clear experiment readouts including: what changed, why it matters, and recommended follow-ups.
• Establish and maintain measurement guardrails, tradeoff frameworks, and experiment best practices.
• Analyze messy, large-scale datasets—often sampled or time-constrained—to surface insights that influence monetization strategy.
• Translate ambiguous or incomplete requirements into structured analytical output.
• Develop dashboards, frameworks, and ongoing reporting that improve visibility into monetization performance.
• Partner closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product teams to align on metrics and reduce “metric debate” cycles.
• Provide clear narratives that communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Influence strategy and optimization decisions across bidding, targeting, and placement systems.
• Operate with urgency and independence, often iterating quickly as priorities change.
• Deliver high-value insights without waiting for perfect clarity or fully defined requirements.

• Advanced SQL with experience querying distributed or large-scale data systems.
• Strong experimentation expertise: A/B testing, interpreting results, identifying tradeoffs, establishing guardrails.
• Experience working with cloud-based analytics environments (e.g., object storage, distributed compute engines, analytical warehouses).
• Python proficiency for data analysis, experimentation tooling, and automation.
• Comfort working with sampled datasets, constrained data windows, or limited observability.
• Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Distributed compute frameworks (e.g., Spark)
  • Serverless or containerized environments
  • ML or modeling platforms
  • Streaming/real-time data concepts
• Experience in advertising, experimentation, or real-time decisioning systems such as:
  • Auction or bidding systems
  • Experimentation or A/B testing platforms
  • Attribution and measurement pipelines
  • Feature stores or real-time feature pipelines
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities.
• Ability to move quickly with incomplete information.
• Strong ownership: takes problems from ambiguity to execution.
• Curiosity, learning speed, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Pragmatic decision-making: focuses on “accurate enough to act” rather than analysis paralysis.

• Cloud & Compute: AWS, Kubernetes, Lambda, Step Functions
• Storage & Data Lake: S3, Iceberg/Hudi-style table formats
• Query & Analytics:
  Redshift, Athena, EMR/Spark
• Batch & Orchestration:
  Spark, Airflow-style DAGs
• ML/Modeling:
  Sage Maker or equivalent ML platforms
• Languages/Tools:
  Python, SQL, Java/Scala, Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines

Compensation range for position is $170, DOE.
