Our team empowers experience makers, key partners/brands, entrepreneurs, and developers to leverage Alexa to create exciting voice-first multimodal experiences and interactions, across a variety of Alexa-enabled devices for their customers.
This Seattle, WA, based role is a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of extraordinary UX designers, voice designers, design technologists, and UX researchers who are equal parts thinkers and doers, analysts and artists, designers and customers who are shaping the future of human-machine interfaces.

You will be working with other stakeholders on various aspects of Alexa+ capabilities and functionalities. You empathize with developers and customers and thrive to shape the future of voice and multimodal interaction for people across the globe.
Key job responsibilities
In this high visibility role you'll drive large initiatives across customer and developer experiences. You will collaborate with designers, research engineers and product to align on customer obsessed solutions.
You'll work with cross-functional experts across the Alexa organization to define a vision, invent innovative design solutions, make sure it's right with research, ensure they are working well for customers, then review and iterate. As a leader on the team you will be an active participant in reviews, critique and the professional development and growth of the UX team and their practices.
About the team
The Alexa Skills Kit (ASK) UX team is a cross-functional team that own the Alexa developer experience (DX) as well as net new customer experiences for brands on Alexa+. Our mission it to drive the developer flywheel, delivering industry leading DX's through deep developer understanding and the use of our own tools to design and deliver experiences. We are not only experience creators but advocates for LLM innovation and AI best practices during a time of massive change and innovation in our space.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
- Experience with rapid prototyping
- Professional experience with the voice industry and artificial intelligence
- Ability to prototype voice user experiences with readily available tools.
- Experience with working in a fast-paced software development environment.
- Desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.
- Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market.
