Overview

Akumen, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal program in
Washington, DC
. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, stakeholders, and technical teams, supporting programobjectivesthrough requirements analysis, documentation, and process improvement. The Business Analyst will analyze business and system requirements,identify gaps or ambiguities, and support the delivery of technology-based solutions that meet end-user and mission needs.

• Interface with clients and stakeholders to define andvalidateuser requirements and project status
• Analyze user requirements toidentifyimplicit, ambiguous, or conflicting requirements and recommend solutions
• Develop andmaintaintechnical documentation, including requirements specifications, use cases, and process flows
• Conduct business process modeling and support business process reengineering initiatives
• Support analysis of business and system requirements to ensure alignment with program goals and end-user satisfaction
• Identify and help resolve complex issues and opportunities for technology-based solutions

• Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of5 years of professional experienceperforming business analysis or requirements analysis
• Demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements
• Experience producing technical documentation in structured or regulated environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience supporting federal government programs or contracts
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall development methodologies
• Experience with business process modeling and reengineering techniques
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, Certified Scrum Master)
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams

• Mustpossessan active security clearanceorhave the ability toobtain andmaintaina clearance, as required by the program
