About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to join our team and support a large‑scale HCM transformation initiative. This project involves migrating from Workday to Oracle HCM and requires a hands‑on leader to drive execution across integrations, data migration, configuration, and testing phases. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
About the Team:You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Payroll, Data Migration, and external vendors such as Oracle and the client organization. Operating within a highly matrixed People Tech organization, the team works on multiple parallel work streams under tight regulatory and payroll‑driven deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of complex, cross‑functional initiatives within the Omaha HCM transformation program
- Own program planning, dependency management, and tracking of milestones across various work streams
- Partner with Product and Functional Leads to develop and maintain sprint and milestone plans, as well as execution scorecards
- Manage Risks, Issues, Actions, and Decisions (RAID), ensuring timely escalation of blockers
- Coordinate end‑to‑end testing activities, including payroll‑dependent runs and retesting, ensuring alignment across teams
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data Migration teams to distinguish between product defects and data/configuration issues
- Facilitate cross‑team forums, status reviews, and executive updates with clear, concise communication
- Maintain Jira hygiene, ensure accurate status reporting, and follow up on action items
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role
- 3+ years supporting large‑scale enterprise systems implementations, including HCM, ERP, Payroll, or Finance platforms
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience managing cross‑functional technical programs involving integrations and data dependencies
- Strong ability to execute across multiple parallel work streams under tight deadlines
- Experience working with payroll‑critical or compliance‑sensitive systems
- Ability to articulate technical issues and their business impact clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for executive status updates
- Jira
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Integration platforms (e.g., Mule Soft)
- Familiarity with Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar enterprise SaaS platforms (hands‑on or program‑level)
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is preferred but not required
