Principal Product Manager - Tech, DynamoDB
Job | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.
Are you interested in helping guide the product strategy for Amazon Dynamo
DB? This is your opportunity to be an owner, builder, and an innovator for a distributed No
SQL database that hundreds of thousands of customers rely on daily. You will work backwards from customer needs to define the future of Dynamo
DB with a diverse team.
- Own key areas of focus for Dynamo
DB (e.g., event-driven architectures, scalability/serverless, developer experience, data protection/security, price/performance, extensibility, global app development). - Define the product strategy, roadmap, and pricing for a core set of capabilities; work with stakeholders to achieve outcomes for customer experience, adoption, and operational excellence.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through go-to-market; operate with data to drive decisions and measure success using service telemetry and user feedback.
- Launch capabilities and drive ongoing growth: usage, customer feedback, and education. Partner with engineering, legal, documentation, marketing, sales, solution architecture, finance, and GTM teams to enable growth.
- Provide clarity in ambiguity; act as a builder with a customer-obsessed mindset.
As a Principal Product Manager, you are a business owner and customer-facing representative for the service. You will interact with customers to understand problems, analyze service metrics, write PRFAQs, pricing narratives, and naming documents, and collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams.
About the teamThe Dynamo
DB product team is composed of principal and senior product managers, researchers, and advocates. You will have mentorship and collaboration with peers from diverse backgrounds to best serve customers.
