Role Summary

We are seeking experienced QA Engineers with strong Point of Sale (POS) testing experience and hands‑on expertise in Playwright automation to support enterprise‑level application testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of retail and transaction‑based systems while working closely with development and business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for POS, web, and backend applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Conduct functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
  • Validate POS transactions, payment processing, inventory, and reporting workflows.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
  • Perform API and backend testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare and share test execution reports and quality metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in POS system testing.
  • Solid experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Expertise in Playwright for test automation.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with API testing tools.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience testing retail, payment, or transaction‑based systems.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance and POS security standards (plus).
