The Creator Studio team is looking for an engineering manager with expertise in machine learning to build and lead a team of engineers building framework-level tooling for creative applications. You’ll be working with the world-class teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork to create next-generation tools for creators.
This position is an opportunity to lead a team responsible for shared AI infrastructure for creative tools, working alongside experts throughout the Creator Studio team. You are a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. You will work with design, quality assurance, and other cross functional teams to influence everything from user interface to project planning.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, people management, and a desire to help shape the product roadmap. In addition to engineering management, you should have experience in iOS / macOS development, have a strong understanding of agentic AI features, and be able to drive product definition from concept all the way to delivery.
- You will lead a team responsible for shared AI infrastructure for creative tools, working alongside experts throughout the Creator Studio team.
- You will work with cross functional teams to influence everything from user interface to project planning.
- You will drive product definition from concept to delivery.
- 8+ years proven experience shipping high quality, tested code on iOS and / or macOS
- 3+ years experience directly leading a team in complex software projects
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns used in programming for Apple platforms
- Proficiency in Swift
- Experience conducting interviews and hiring practices
- Experience taking responsibility and ownership of features and the product roadmap
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of engineers and managers
- Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build long-term relationships across the organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated interest in one of Apple's apps for creative pros & enthusiasts (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, Garage Band)
- Experience building AI tools and features, especially planner or agentic AI features
