Cybersecurity Engineer (1–2 Years Experience) About the Role

Aara Tech Inc is seeking a motivated and technically driven Cybersecurity Engineer (1–2 years experience) to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure IT systems and infrastructure. This role is ideal for early-career cybersecurity professionals who want hands‑on experience building, configuring, and monitoring security solutions in a regulated environment. The Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with IT, Dev Ops, Compliance, and Security teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture and protect sensitive data.

• Assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and technologies
• Support monitoring and analysis of security events, logs, and alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Application, and Dev Ops teams to integrate security controls into systems and workflows
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and validation of security fixes
• Support secure configuration and hardening of servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments
• Participate in incident response activities including investigation, containment, documentation, and root‑cause analysis
• Assist in managing access controls, identity and access management (IAM), and privileged access
• Support firewall, VPN, endpoint protection, and network security configurations under guidance from senior engineers
• Help implement security best practices aligned with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other relevant frameworks
• Support security testing, audits, and compliance initiatives by providing technical evidence and documentation
• Maintain documentation for security architecture, configurations, procedures, and incident reports
• Assist with ad‑hoc security engineering tasks and continuous improvement initiatives

• 1–2 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Security Operations, or IT Infrastructure with a security focus
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Working knowledge of network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
• Basic experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud security concepts
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional technical and non‑technical teams
