Salary range is $81k to $170k with a midpoint of $118k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

The Senior Program Manager under the direction of the accessibility services manager will be responsible for projects from start to finish to manage timelines, facilitate the participation from internal and external staff, conduct stakeholder outreach, and record and monitor outcomes. The senior program manager will organize and manage files for accessibility services projects in the collaborative space of SharePoint and Teams, as well as monitor and process fiduciary commitments under the accessibility services budget.
EssentialFunctions
The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Serves as staff liaison to the Citizens Accessibility Advisory Committee and provides logistical support before and after each meeting.
- Oversees active projects to insure quality of work, adherence to timelines and budget, and record progress and outcomes.
- Monitors and tracks Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complaints that come to Sound Transit directly and through our partner agencies operating Sound Transit Service.
- Boost the presence of accessibility services reports and technical advice by creating and maintaining visibility through collaborative spaces such as SharePoint, Teams and Sound Transit’s intranet.
- Contributes ADA and accessibility support to cross-departmental working groups and specific project teams upon request.
- Develops a proactive process for advising on accessibility needs starting with the early stages of planning through fruition.
- Assumes responsibility for stakeholder outreach and receiving, categorizing and sharing feedback from the public including but not limited to finding testers for disability access, sharing updates and press releases, maintaining the list, working with Government & Community Relations (GCR), Civil Rights, Equity & Inclusion (CREI) and others on stakeholder outreach.
- Actively observes and reports areas of need to the accessibility services manager and contributes to developing solutions.
- Engages with partner agencies to monitor and insure ADA compliance for services provided and project deliverables.
- Champions and models Sound Transit's core values and demonstrates values-based behaviors in everyday interactions across the agency.
