Senior Solutions Developer, Prototyping and Customer Engineering; PACE

Overview

As trusted customer advocates, the Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE) team helps customers create early iterations of products and solutions, often exploring new technical grounds. The team is looking for experienced technologists who balance technical depth with strong interpersonal and writing skills. In this role, you will partner with customers and other AWS teams to craft solutions that address customer use cases and accelerate the adoption of AWS.

You will help shape and build prototypes across domains such as AI/ML, AR/VR/Spatial, IoT and Serverless, and demonstrate the art of the possible with Generative AI. You should be self-guided and disciplined in managing your time to ensure success.

• Engage with customers on a specific use case to determine desired outcomes, define scope, and design and implement it (code, CDK, docs) with a small team of developers in about 6 weeks.
• Identify opportunities to scale impact through internal and external facing initiatives.
• Mentor others and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.

While on a customer prototype engagement, collaborate with other developers, Customer Success Manager and specialists to deliver results. The team working on prototypes varies by project based on availability and required skills. Members come from across the US and EMEA, with larger team meetings to share knowledge and updates.

• Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure experience.
• 8+ years of experience in one or more technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS).
• Experience with iterative, agile development methodologies (including Scrum).
• Experience in software development or managing full application stacks from OS up through custom applications, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding with comfort speaking to executives, IT management, and developers.
• Experience building AWS cloud-native serverless solutions using AWS SDK.
• Hands-on experience in one or more of Edge Computing, IoT, AI/ML, Blockchain, mobile development, or user experience development.
