Amazon Stores Security – Regulation Tech Assurance (RTA) is the team responsible for maintaining global regulatory compliance for all Amazon Stores, Devices, and other services including payment and healthcare compliance. RTA also identifies, analyzes, and mitigates security risk identified through compliance activities, pentesting, and other sources.

We are seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Principal Technical Program Manager with a background in security compliance to help identify, analyze, and prioritize security risk across Amazon. This work will drive leadership prioritization and reduce security and compliance risk.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage and be accountable for security programs and/or projects to reduce security and compliance risk.
  • Work across various stakeholders to identify and evaluate customer needs and solutions.
  • Lead various security compliance activities so Amazon can achieve and maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standard requirements.
  • Continuously prioritize risk for service teams, security teams, and executive leadership.
  • Work with security engineers and others to develop technical risk mitigation strategies and approaches.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Integrate into various enterprise risk management processes.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands‑on work managing complex technology projects
  • Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • 3+ years of security, compliance, and risk management experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
