Position: ES M&A Compensation Data Manager

Role

As a Lead Compensation Data Analyst, you will serve as the analytical point person on compensation‑related matters for assigned M&A deals from due diligence through integration. Operating with broad expertise and knowledge, you will own the delivery of data solutions, act independently to optimize methods and procedures, and look beyond the literal data in a spreadsheet to factor in context, culture and unique business circumstances.

Your technical proficiency will lead data management work streams while executing vital compensation modeling and job mapping.

Core Responsibilities
  • Compensation Analysis & Mapping: Support acquisitions by partnering closely with Global Total Rewards and Compensation teams to map and level acquired company roles to Salesforce's job architecture. Conduct job evaluations, assess the cost impact of integrating compensation, benefits and stock programs, and consult on proposed adjustments to align rewards programs. Lead the end‑to‑end workstream for smaller deals.
  • Advanced Data Management: Lead data management work streams using large employee data sets and advanced functionality in Excel and Google Sheets. Define what data must be collected, ensure data integrity and track data rooms and requests.
  • Reporting, Visualization & Insights: Deliver data solutions by synthesizing complex data sets into actionable narratives, building interactive dashboards in Tableau and integrating predictive analytics.
  • Operational Delivery & Process Improvement: Independently solve significant issues, negotiate detailed requirement and solution design trade‑offs, evaluate and optimize M&A HR technology solutions, and refine the ES M&A playbook.
  • M&A Compensation Project Management: Lead project management efforts for compensation integration milestones, track decisions, assess risk, and align business strategy with deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Enablement: Support HR teams and business leaders with change readiness, share recommendations based on analytics, and deliver solutions to complex compensation questions.
Requirements for Success
  • Technical Skills & Experience
  • Deep Analytical Expertise: 5+ years in financial analysis, statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Data Fluency: Proficient in advanced Excel and Google Sheets for large datasets.
  • Data Visualization: Skilled with Tableau for dynamic dashboards and predictive analytics.
  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with Workday HCM or similar HR technology platforms; familiarity with Orgvue, Tableau and Slack.
  • Domain Knowledge: Development of HR compensation programs and understanding of global/local labor and legal requirements.
  • Characteristics & Traits
  • Independent Leader: Determines methods and procedures, anticipates blockers and may supervise other or contingent staff.
  • Detail‑Oriented & Adaptable: Maintains data accuracy and system integrity while managing ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective Communicator: Speaks and writes with clarity, brevity and purpose.
  • Collaborative Problem Solver: Uses logic to uncover hidden problems and find solutions without adding complexity.
Salary and Benefits

In the United States, compensation will be based on location, job level and experience, and may include incentives, equity and benefits. Salary range: $117,400 – $177,600 annually (or $140,900 – $193,700 in select San Francisco and New York City metro areas). Total benefits include time off, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k) and an employee stock purchasing program.
