Overview

Slalom is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Cloud/Web Developer to support the redesign and modernization of a client website
. This is a contract engagement supporting a highly collaborative Agile team working within a modern Microsoft web and cloud ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strong backend-focused developer with deep .NET expertise, comfort working across the full stack when needed, and professional maturity to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Role Summary

You will join a 5-person Agile delivery team
, contributing primarily to backend development in a modern .NET and Blazor environment. The team follows a platform-first philosophy
, emphasizing Azure-native services and out-of-the-box capabilities over custom-built solutions.

While the platform includes Sitecore JSS (Headless), this role does not require CMS specialization. A dedicated Sitecore SME is already embedded in the team; your responsibility will be to extend the existing framework and integrate it into broader web solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable backend code supporting the website redesign.
  • Extend and enhance an existing Sitecore JSS (Headless) implementation in collaboration with a Sitecore specialist.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex web application issues across the full stack, including CDN, identity, and third-party integrations.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog refinement, estimation, and story ownership.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA, and infrastructure resources to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Communicate technical progress, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for stakeholders when leadership is unavailable.
Technical Environment
  • Backend & Web: .NET (v8, 9, 10), C#, Blazor
  • CMS: Sitecore JSS (Headless)
  • Methodology: Agile, co-owned stories, collaborative backlog
Required Qualifications
  • Senior-level experience as a .NET Web or Cloud Developer delivering production-grade applications.
  • Expert-level fluency in modern .NET (v8+), C#, and web application development.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting full-stack web applications, including identity, security, and CDN layers.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS patterns (Sitecore JSS experience preferred, but not required).
  • Strong debugging skills and a pragmatic, platform-first development mindset.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience working in Azure environments with a focus on low-code and managed services.
  • Background working on high-visibility public websites or digital platforms.
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Quick learner who can ramp up efficiently within an active delivery team.
Work Model
  • Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Kirkland, WA preferred
  • Remote: Considered for strong candidates if local availability is limited

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. As a result, Slalom is proud to invest in benefits that include meaningful time off and paid holidays, 401(k) with a match, a range of choices for highly subsidized health, dental, & vision coverage, adoption and fertility…
