Senior Solution Architect – Data Engineering (Enterprise Architecture)

Location: Seattle, WA (Open to other U.S. locations | Remote considered)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (mandatory – ITAR/EAR compliance)

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect (Enterprise Architecture focus) with strong expertise in Data Engineering on AWS to lead end-to-end architecture, design, and modernization initiatives.

This role blends enterprise architecture (TOGAF-driven thinking) with hands-on data platform design
, enabling scalable, high-performance, and future-ready solutions across the organization.

• Define and deliver end-to-end enterprise data architectures across multiple platforms
• Design and implement scalable ETL/data pipelines using AWS Glue and Apache Iceberg
• Architect robust data storage and retrieval solutions leveraging Amazon Redshift and S3 k]
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and observability across systems
• Create architectural artifacts:
  logical, physical, integration, and deployment views (UML-based)
• Drive RESTful API design and system integration using API Gateway and microservices
• Conduct technology trade-off analysis (cost, scalability, performance, risk)
• Develop architecture roadmaps and modernization strategies aligned with business goals
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture
• Evaluate and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications
• Provide guidance on best practices, reusable frameworks, and scalable design patterns

• Python, Spark (PySpark preferred)
• AWS:
  Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, API Gateway
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Strong expertise in data modeling and ETL processes
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native data platforms on AWS

• Java, Spring Boot
• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks and web technologies
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)
• Strong proficiency in UML and architecture documentation
• Expertise in SQL & No
  
  SQL databases and data modeling strategies
• Proven ability to design integrated systems across distributed platforms
• Strong understanding of API-driven and microservices architectures
• Experience aligning architecture with business and product strategies

• Experience in AI / LLM integration within enterprise systems
• AWS or relevant cloud certifications
• Prior experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programs

• Work on cutting-edge data platforms and enterprise transformations

Pay Range Minimum: $ 171000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $ 261000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
