Responsibilities- Design, build, operate and optimize Byte Dance's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
- Work with cross‑functional teams, including compute, storage, database, recommendation system, to drive the innovation and evolution of Byte Dance network.
Minimum Qualifications
- Good network knowledge, such as OSI and TCP/IP model.
- Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
- Understanding of basic network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, sFlow/netflow, telemetry.
- Hands‑on experience with network devices, such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc.
- Self‑motivated with good communication and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4‑IPv6 co‑existence technologies.
- Programming/scripting experience in Python or other languages.
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $124,717 – $243,200 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
