Position: Sr. Technical Program Manager, Amazon Software Builder Experience

Description

The Amazon Software Builder Experience organization is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to drive cross‑cutting initiatives for the company‑wide Software Development toolchain hardening initiative. Our customers include some of the highest‑scale and most demanding software services in the world, such as AWS, , Alexa, and Prime Video. They expect our software development to be secure by default and to enable them to deliver value without worrying about toolchain‑related issues.

the Team

The Amazon Software Builder Experience (ASBX) organization creates the world’s best builder experience across tens of thousands of software engineers and all Amazon businesses. ASBX owns the software development tools that Amazon software teams use to develop, release, and manage their software. This role is ideal for those passionate about software development, development tools, and having world‑wide impact across Amazon.

Key Responsibilities

This position engages with engineering teams across multiple SVP organizations to influence roadmaps and prioritize efforts, requiring strong ability to earn trust and deliver results. The Senior Technical Program Manager tracks progress against goals and supports sequencing resources based on complexity, cost, security benefits, and adjacency to other systems that enable higher levels of abstraction. The right candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi‑year roadmaps, driving architectural change across large organizations and handling communication for developers up to technical engineering leaders.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLA's used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
