Position: Senior Product Manager - Sponsored Product Ads

Summary

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Sponsored Product Ads, Nordstrom’s core search and browse advertising product. This role partners with engineering, ad operations, analytics, sales, and vendor partners to scale platform performance, improve advertiser ROI, and protect customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Define and evangelize product vision and roadmap for Sponsored Product Ads.
  • Own technical vendor relationships, translating business needs into technical requirements and managing partner deliverables.
  • Define placement strategy, targeting capabilities, ad quality standards, and integration priorities.
  • Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurement plans for platform features and enhancements.
  • Monitor KPI performance (fill rate, impressions, CTR, CVR, ROAS) and use data to prioritize roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with sales, ad operations, analytics, and customer experience teams to align product and commercial priorities.
  • Drive launches through backlog management, agile ceremonies, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Establish governance, brand safety, and compliance frameworks for advertising products.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of product management experience in ad tech, retail media networks, or e-commerce with sponsored product or search advertising expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience working with vendor platforms, APIs, and data feeds.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with ad operations, campaign setup, trafficking, bidding strategies, and optimization workflows.
  • Proficient in advertising performance metrics and data analysis (fill rate, CTR, CVR, ROAS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred: direct experience with retail media networks, sponsored product platforms (e.g., Criteo), measurement methodologies, and privacy regulations.
