Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Manager for Software & Hardware is an individual contributor responsible for developing and leading sourcing strategies for hardware, devices, SaaS, and VARs that support store technology and asset protection. This role manages the contract lifecycle, drives supplier performance and continuous improvement, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver cost savings and risk mitigation. The manager independently negotiates and drafts technology agreements while managing multiple high-visibility projects and timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the contract lifecycle for hardware, devices, and SaaS supporting store operations.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including Technology and Product stakeholders, to meet project timelines.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and industry partners; proactively manage supplier performance.
  • Draft, redline, and manage a variety of technology agreements, including master agreements and SOWs.
  • Use program and project management tools to track initiatives, resolve issues, and deliver results.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement with emphasis on software and hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of market analysis, sourcing strategy, supplier relationship management, should-cost models, and multi-year negotiation strategies.
  • Experience with contracting best practices, licensing models, supplier risk management, and ethical sourcing requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence at the executive level and lead cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with MS Office, Oracle, BI tools, AI solutions, and running sourcing events and bid evaluations.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving cost savings, risk avoidance, and supplier continuous improvement.
