OverviewAs a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within Amazon’s Selection and Catalog Systems, you will own solutions to a large set of customer‑facing product catalog issues that influence critical business processes and product discovery. You will lead large projects, coordinate design and implementation, and ensure timely delivery with high quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scoping and delivering large projects across Amazon Catalog Systems.
- Collecting business and system requirements from internal and external customers.
- Writing specifications, including success criteria.
- Driving project schedules from design to release and managing production launch.
- Leading and coordinating design/implementation efforts between stakeholders.
- Making trade‑offs to optimize time‑to‑market and resource usage.
- Communicating goals, roles, and outcomes to cross‑functional and remote teams.
- Providing visibility to senior leadership on program progress and metrics.
- Managing business requirements, design, performance expectations and goals with stakeholders.
- Building road maps and tracking real‑time service levels and schedule adherence.
- Being the primary point of contact for worldwide stakeholders of the programs you run.
- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management, working directly with software engineering teams.
- Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical‑path management.
- Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
