Clinical Systems Product Manager
The Clinical Systems Product Manager owns the delivery, backlog, and quality of enterprise clinical platforms and services that support clinical, operational, and data workflows. Serving as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, clinical partners, and technical delivery teams, this role ensures work is clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in alignment with organizational goals. The Product Manager is accountable for translating complex clinical and business needs into executable work and ensuring high quality, reliable delivery of clinical integration and system capabilities in a regulated healthcare environment.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in product ownership, business analysis, or IT delivery roles supporting complex enterprise systems.
- Have a minimum of four (4) years of direct experience as a Product Manager or in an equivalent delivery‑accountable role, including ownership of backlog management, Agile execution, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release delivery.
- Demonstrate success working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments, including backlog prioritization, story writing with clear acceptance criteria, sprint planning and execution, and continuous improvement through retrospectives.
- Bring experience supporting clinical integration systems, healthcare IT platforms, or regulated environments, with familiarity in data integration or interoperability concepts. (Healthcare or payer experience preferred.)
Essential functions and roles and responsibilities:
- Serve as product owner and primary point of contact for assigned clinical systems, managing backlog prioritization and alignment to objectives while fostering strong cross‑functional and vendor partnerships.
- Translate business and clinical needs into clear product deliverables (e.g., epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans) that enable predictable delivery.
- Lead Agile delivery execution with Technical Program Managers and delivery teams, overseeing planning, coordination, progress tracking, and retrospectives, while ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, and quality commitments and proactively managing risks, dependencies, and escalations.
- Lead UAT and release readiness activities, ensuring solutions meet quality and operational standards while coordinating approvals, deployments, and post‑release communications with key stakeholders.
- Communicate product status, delivery metrics, risks, and key decisions clearly to leadership and governance forums.
- Own end‑to‑end product quality, documentation, and enablement, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, clinical workflows, and integration best practices.
- Define and track delivery and performance metrics and use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare IT environments, including clinical integration systems, population health platforms, and the interaction of clinical, operational, and data workflows.
- Ability to translate complex business and clinical needs into prioritized product deliverables, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans that support predictable delivery.
- Knowledge of enterprise delivery and release management practices, including UAT coordination, change control, deployment readiness, and quality assurance in production environments.
- Ability to identify delivery risks, dependencies, and constraints early and drive appropriate mitigation strategies or escalation to protect delivery and operational outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate across business, clinical, technical, and vendor teams; manage expectations; facilitate trade‑off discussions; and communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly.
- Ability to make informed prioritization and delivery decisions using data, delivery metrics, business impact, and system constraints.
