Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. The role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients.
Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
Leverage knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes.
Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
Decompose complex technical problems into actionable deliverable solutions.
Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
Validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks.
Drive project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and within scope, exceeding customer expectations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of cloud computing experience.
5+ years of IT implementation experience.
Experience in project management of technical programs.
Current, active Top Secret or above US Government Security Clearance.
1+ years of professional work experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
Knowledge of AWS services.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
Experience applying AWS Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
Ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision‑makers.
Experience supporting National Security mission systems and representing AWS within the customer’s environment.
Held at least one active project management certification; delivered cloud engagements; presented to C‑level executives and technical subject matter experts; managed projects with 10+ resources, 6+ months, or $250k+ contract value.
Base salary range:
USA, CO, Denver – – USD annually
USA, MD, Jessup – – USD annually
USA, VA, Arlington – – USD annually
USA, VA, Herndon – – USD annually
