Program Manager - Research Impact & Data Infrastructure
Responsible for building infrastructure and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support a research impact measurement system within an academic research initiatives team. This role focuses on enabling consistent tracking, measurement, and reporting of research impact across a portfolio of projects.
The position requires a program manager with strong data and analytics capabilities who can partner across teams to design systems, implement processes, and ensure data readiness for reporting and insights. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, data quality, and the ability to operationalize new methodologies.
Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in business analytics, program management, or product management
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with data analytics, including organizing, cleaning, and interpreting data

Team & Function Overview

• Supports an academic research initiatives team focused on research impact measurement
• Works across a portfolio of projects (e.g., 2025 portfolio)
• Partners with cross-functional teams including developers and analytics stakeholders
• Team is newly formed with a focus on innovation and research initiatives

Core Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure and SOPs to support research impact measurement across projects
• Roll out and implement a multi-layer classification model for tracking research impact
• Establish milestone-based data capture processes and maintain data quality standards
• Partner with developers to build CRM infrastructure, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and automation
• Support longitudinal tracking and portfolio-level analytics
• Design data models to enable real-time dashboards and self-service reporting
• Ensure data readiness for analytics, minimizing manual data manipulation
• Support integrations across systems to enable comprehensive tracking and reporting
• Test and validate systems across a portfolio of projects

Must-Have Skills
