About the Role
The Director, People Partnering - AI Infrastructure (US) will lead the development and delivery of strategic people partnering across Nscale's AI Infrastructure organisation in the United States.
This role will directly partner with the President of AI Infrastructure and their leadership team across Technology, Product, AI Infrastructure Operations, and Security. You will play a critical role in shaping the people strategy that enables the build, scale, and secure operation of Nscale's AI infrastructure platform.
This is a highly strategic and commercially aligned role, balancing organisational design, talent strategy, leadership capability, and operational excellence within a deeply technical, high-growth environment.
Reporting to the Global Director, Head of People Partnering, you will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-performance people practices across the US region.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Executive Partnering
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the President of AI Infrastructure and their senior leadership team across Technology, Product, AI Infrastructure Operations, and Security.
- Shape and execute a forward-looking people strategy aligned to AI Infrastructure growth, operational resilience, and innovation priorities.
- Coach senior leaders to build high-performing, accountable, and scalable teams in a complex, technical environment.
- Partner on organisational design, workforce planning, and capability mapping to support rapid infrastructure expansion and product evolution.
Act as the People lead for AI Infrastructure within the global People Partnering leadership team.
- Lead organisational design initiatives to ensure scalable structures, clear accountabilities, and optimal team effectiveness across engineering, product, operations, and security.
- Drive workforce planning aligned to infrastructure buildout, capacity expansion, and security requirements.
- Partner with leaders to identify critical skills (e.g., distributed systems, AI workloads, GPU infrastructure, cloud security) and develop targeted hiring and development strategies.
- Support succession planning and leadership pipeline development for critical technical roles.
- Lead performance enablement frameworks that drive clarity, accountability, and excellence across technical teams.
- Design leadership development initiatives tailored to engineering and infrastructure leaders.
- Provide executive coaching to senior leaders to elevate capability, influence, and alignment with Nscale values.
- Equip managers with tools and training to foster continuous learning, innovation, and high standards of delivery.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters within the US regulatory environment.
- Partner closely with Legal and Security leadership on sensitive cases involving technical teams or operational risk.
- Ensure compliance with US employment laws and regulatory standards.
- Develop ER strategies that balance speed, fairness, and risk mitigation in a fast-scaling infrastructure environment.
- Lead change management initiatives tied to infrastructure scaling, platform evolution, security enhancements, and operating model changes.
- Develop communication and engagement strategies to drive clarity and adoption across technical populations.
- Balance business velocity with employee experience and organisational health.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to build proactive hiring strategies for niche technical and AI infrastructure skillsets.
- Identify capability gaps across Technology, Product, Operations, and Security and implement targeted development initiatives.
- Support internal mobility and career architecture for technical career paths.
- Strengthen retention strategies for high-impact technical and infrastructure talent.
- Leverage people analytics to assess trends in attrition, engagement, performance, and workforce capability within AI Infrastructure.
