Senior Data Engineer Europe

Responsibilities

• Support the development and evolution of the data warehouse and BI platform.
• Partner with the BI Manager, Data and BI Engineers, Program Managers, and Analysts to build a best‑in‑class suite of tools and reporting mechanisms, delivering salient, insightful data directly into key business functions.
• Design and implement modernized ETL and data‑processing solutions using cloud‑based services (e.g., S3, Redshift) and deprecate legacy on‑premise solutions (Oracle).
• Conduct continual performance tuning and capacity planning for future growth.
• Apply broad working knowledge in related disciplines to create integrated technical innovations and solutions for complex business situations.

• 5+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of Classical Data Warehousing, Data Structures, Data Modeling, and Data Profiling.
• Expertise in advanced SQL.
• Experience with one of Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with ETL processes.
• Experience with GCP Big Query.
• Experience with Big Data ecosystems.

• Experience with Spark.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing services.
• Knowledge of Kafka for event streaming and real‑time data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
