Position Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable approaches to support or automate decision making throughout the business.
  • Apply data science techniques and tools combined with subject matter expertise to solve difficult business problems with unclear solution approach.
  • Acquire data via SQL/ETL queries and import processes through company-specific interfaces for Oracle, Red Shift, and Spark storage.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and counterparts.
  • Analyze data for trends and input validity by inspecting distributions, exploring relationships, constructing transformations, and tracking anomalies.
  • Build models using statistical, mathematical, econometric, network, social network, natural language processing, machine learning, genetic algorithms, and neural networks.
  • Validate models against alternative approaches, expected/observed outcomes, and business-defined KPIs.
  • Implement models ensuring evaluation of computational demands, accuracy, and reliability across ETL stages.
Basic Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND at least 1 year of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in same fields AND at least 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
  • Differentiated by one year of experience in: building statistical and machine learning models with large multi-source datasets; writing SQL scripts for analysis and data migration; applying specialized modelling software including R, Python, or MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work safely, cooperatively, and effectively under stressful conditions, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws and corporate policies.
  • Experience in a functional setting with limited supervision, flexible approach to problem solving, and a results oriented mindset.
Compensation & Benefits

40 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm. Salary Range: $158808/year to $184000/year. Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided. Full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. More information at
