Cloud Network Engineer Graduate; Physical Network Infra BS​/MS

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and optimize Bytedance's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (compute, storage, database, recommendation system) to drive the innovation and evolution of Bytedance network.

• Good network knowledge (OSI, TCP/IP model).
• Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
• Understanding of basic public cloud concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with network devices (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, etc.).
• Self‑motivated, good communication and written skills.

• In‑depth knowledge of public cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, etc.).
• Familiarity with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets (Broadcom, Barefoot, etc.).
• Good understanding of IPv6 and IPv4‑IPv6 coexistence technologies.
• Programming/scripting in Python or other languages.

The base salary range for this position is $124,717 - $243,200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is one part of the total package and may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
