• Lead delivery of complex cloud solution projects for Department of Defense customers, including planning, execution, control, budgeting, staffing and communication.
• Apply AWS frameworks (Well-Architected, Cloud Adoption Framework) and delivery methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, ITIL) to drive successful AWS-based solution implementations.
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose problems and make informed trade‑off decisions.
• Validate technical solutions against business goals, participate in architectural reviews and manage technical risks.
• Maintain relevant AWS certifications and develop domain expertise in areas such as migration, database, healthcare and financial services.
• Create and lead comprehensive project plans for cross‑functional teams and manage delivery quality and security protocols.
• Facilitate release planning, align outcomes, build roadmaps and organize complex work streams.
• Identify, manage and mitigate risks; resolve issues, elevate appropriately and drive projects to successful completion.
• Lead complex business and technical discussions, communicate concepts to both technical and business audiences and build strategic relationships with stakeholders.
• Identify and shape pre‑sales opportunities and support strategic documentation.
• Establish new capabilities, tools and delivery kits to promote efficiency and improve quality.
• Own root‑cause resolution of complex problems through COE activities and contribute to organizational strategic planning.
• Build and develop high‑performing teams, mentor others, recruit top talent and provide feedback for promotions.
• Act as a force multiplier for organizational efficiency and provide best‑practice guidance across teams.

• 5+ years of leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of program or engagement management experience leading other project managers to deliver programs with multiple concurrent projects.
• 1+ year of working as a Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross‑functional teams.
• 3+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Experience leading the delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent.

• Project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
• AWS certification.
• Knowledge of the public cloud value proposition and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience presenting to C‑level executives, IT and lines of business across organizations.

Amazon provides a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, signing bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs) and benefits such as health, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursements, 401(k) matching, paid time off and parental leave.

Base salary range: $131,200 – $177,600 annually (San Diego, Denver, Arlington, Herndon, Seattle).
