We are seeking thoughtful, talented, and multi-faceted user experience designers who love empowering our customers with high-quality interaction and visual design and who are eager to bring their creative ideas and hard work to our team.

We are looking for an accomplished and innovative Senior UX designer, who will be responsible for defining, articulating, and championing the future vision for how our customers buy and use Amazon Gift Cards.

Key responsibilities include driving the design of key components, collaborating within cross‑functional teams, and mentoring junior designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with product managers to drive the roadmap for new components.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to understand user needs, problems, and goals across diverse use cases.
  • Partner with researchers and data scientists to gain insight to drive and improve designs.
  • Work with other designers to ensure cohesion and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Articulate guiding principles to ground and inspire ideation, prototyping, and exploration of various design solutions.
  • Design components with ingenious micro-interactions, integrating with Amazon's design system, prioritizing accessibility, and responding across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Create interaction specifications using language, diagrams, and prototypes to describe component usage, anatomy, behavior, and configuration with clarity and detail.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams from design to hand off, and ensure components are implemented to specification.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the designs are accurately implemented.
  • Mentor junior designers on the team.
What we’re looking for
  • At least 8 years of designer experience, designing, building, and delivering products.
  • Full‑stack UX designer: interaction design, visual design, typography, motion, 3D, human factors, and more.
  • Excellent collaborator who empowers others, works well with designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and executives.
  • Strong storyteller who conveys user experience as a compelling narrative.
  • Systemic thinker comfortable breaking rules when needed to deliver unique experiential moments.
  • Continuous learner, open to feedback, constantly refining assumptions based on quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Passion for creating dramatic and impactful change in a user‑experience‑design focused team.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
  • Experience in visual design with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant, and exceedingly usable layouts, interactions, and iconography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing beyond the basic user interface to include system‑wide design patterns.
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools and design systems.
  • Background in accessibility, inclusive design, or related fields.

Base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) and is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
