Principal Product Manager - Tech, Personalization

Key Job Responsibilities

• Envision and define personalized shopping experiences tailored to each customer's intent, operating seamlessly across Amazon as a personal shopping assistant.
• Work with a team of engineers, scientists, engineering managers, and program managers to design, define, and execute a product roadmap that helps customers understand intent and complete their shopping missions.
• Drive roadmap to implement next‑generation recommender systems, invent ways to multiply the rate of innovation across the company on behalf of customers.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and balance customer, business, and technical constraints.
• Assimilate inputs from stakeholders, develop cohesive designs and functional specs, prioritize, and deliver on schedule.
• Communicate goals, requirements, roadmaps, and timelines to internal cross‑functional and remote project teams.
• Demonstrate maturity, business and technical judgment, negotiation skills, influence, and leadership.
• Collaborate with multiple organizations and leaders across Amazon to build the future of personalized content optimization.

• 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with feature delivery and product trade‑offs.
• Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end‑to‑end product delivery.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience in technical product management.
• Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements.
• Experience in project‑management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
