Position: Product Manager 2 - Payments Experience

Summary

The Product Manager 2 on the Payments product team drives payments infrastructure modernization by defining strategy, prioritizing the roadmap, and delivering payment capabilities across web, mobile, and in-store channels. This role partners with Engineering, Analytics, UX, and business stakeholders to lead provider integrations, enhance the Payment Orchestration Layer, and measure feature impact to improve approval rates and reduce fraud. The position operates in a hybrid model in Seattle and focuses on technical product delivery and data-driven optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the payments domain aligned with company goals.
  • Prioritize features, develop quarterly priorities and maintain the product backlog accounting for impact and complexity.
  • Lead payment provider integrations including acquirers, wallets, and Buy Now Pay Later partners, coordinating across teams.
  • Contribute to payment architecture and Payment Orchestration Layer design, including tokenization and tender abstraction.
  • Write technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; embed with engineering squads to drive delivery and releases.
  • Design measurement plans, run experiments, and monitor KPIs to validate payment optimizations and guide roadmap decisions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of product management experience or equivalent; payments or transaction experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with payment systems, processors, and payment orchestration; direct integration experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of payment architecture concepts such as tokenization, acquirer routing, and card-not-present flows.
  • Solid technical background with experience in Agile development and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
