The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced Principal SAP Architect to join the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) team. Locations include Seattle, WA;
Bellevue, WA;
Kent, WA;
Tukwila, WA;
Renton, WA;
Arlington, VA;
Dallas, TX;
Hazelwood, MO; or Ridley Park, PA.

As a Principal SAP S/4 Functional Architect, you will lead the design and optimization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications landscape, focusing on end‑to‑end business processes and cross‑functional integration. You will drive SAP strategy, lead complex solution architecture, and provide expert guidance for implementing SAP S/4

HANA and related technologies in an Aerospace and Defense or heavy manufacturing environment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT executives on SAP roadmap, strategy, and innovation opportunities.
  • Translate strategic business goals into SAP process and solution roadmaps and functional architecture.
  • Lead the functional and applications architecture across multiple-instance SAP S/4

    HANA landscapes.
  • Drive an optimized transitional applications architecture during multi‑phase S/4 rollouts, including multi‑PLM landscapes.
  • Design, configure, build, and test end‑to‑end business process flows to align with SAP best practices and out‑of‑the‑box capabilities.
  • Serve as the solution owner for large‑scale SAP transformation initiatives, including greenfield, brownfield, and hybrid migrations to S/4

    HANA.
  • Provide functional leadership during implementations following Activate methodology.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical architects, developers, data architects, and business stakeholders for cohesive solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend SAP tools, technologies, and partners.
  • Assess new SAP capabilities relevant to the sector, including SAP Defense & Security (D&S) Industry Solution and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Define and enforce functional architecture standards, governance models, and quality assurance processes across SAP programs.
  • Support cross‑functional program planning, business case development, and solution scoping for multi‑phase rollouts.
  • Govern enterprise baseline/template, solution documentation, and adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
  • Mentor and guide functional analysts and consultants, serving as the escalation point for complex solution issues.
  • Support vendor evaluations and system integrator partnerships as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • 10+ years of experience in large‑scale SAP‑enabled business transformations.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Systems Enterprise Architecture role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
  • SAP S/4

    HANA certified; knowledge of SAP BTP, Signavio Process Modeling, EA Modeling tools (Lean Ix, etc.).
  • Experience with SAP expertise across multiple value streams.
  • Proven strategic and enterprise thinking.
  • Track record of focusing on excellence in delivery.
  • Deep understanding of business processes.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Benefits and Compensation

Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Eligible employees may enroll in a variety of benefit programs, including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Pay range: $142,800 – $225,000.
