AWS Security Services is redefining how enterprises are protecting their cloud-based applications and services. We are innovating in cloud security with services like Amazon Guard Duty, Amazon Security Hub, Amazon Inspector, and Amazon Security Lake. Our team is growing, and we need an experienced senior product manager to join the team and own innovative new products to help customers protect workloads and services on AWS.

• As the Principal Product Manager, you will be a member of the Leadership Team helping advise and deliver the overall AWS Security Services product strategy and vision.
• Drive success through feature definition, roadmap prioritization, positioning, naming, GTM, usage growth, and financial metrics.
• Operate by solving customer problems, improving delivery speed, and driving usage by working backwards from ambiguous customer needs, translating them into disruptive, successful products that delight customers.
• Interact with customers (including senior executives) and coordinate across many internal and external teams.
• Prioritize roadmap features and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through business requirements documents.
• Respond to customers, partners, software vendors, and operational stakeholders.
• Engage in technical leadership: shape 3‑5 year strategic vision and technical roadmaps, review complex service design decisions, drive technical innovation in security services, identify service dependencies, own business and product definition for major AWS services.
• Lead technical discussions with enterprise customers, analyze competitive landscape, translate customer pain points into product requirements.
• Represent AWS at industry conferences and technical events.
• Drive team execution of strategic initiatives across multiple engineering organizations, collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and business development teams.
• Mentor and develop product management skills in team members.
• Take ownership of product reliability issues and drive resolution.
• Influence pricing and packaging decisions for external services.

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
• 5+ years of technical experience (software development, network development, IT, or related).
• Experience delivering large‑scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products, responsible for the full lifecycle from concept through GTM.
• Proven ability to execute strategically and tactically, leading both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, business judgment, and demonstrated product management experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid technical background in security and cloud technology, with deep customer focus.
• Master’s or PhD in computer science, engineering or related field (preferred).
• Experience with AWS, database systems (SQL/No
  
  SQL), AI tools for development productivity, open‑source projects and version control systems.
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (Security, Privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).
• Experience with AI/ML technologies (preferred).
