Overview

Title: Process Improvement Consultant – Core Technology Transformation

Reports To: VP, Operations

Type: Contract with potential to extend.

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA (1-3 days a week on-site)

Hourly/Contract Rate: $65-$70/Hour (depending on experience)

The role is a seasoned advisor to reshape how the tech organization functions day-to-day. This person will work across teams to explore current operations, identify inefficiencies, and build scalable solutions within a product-focused structure. Deep experience in organization-wide process change, people-centered delivery, and adaptive frameworks is essential.

Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Review how work currently flows across product, platform, and support groups
  • Lead small, interactive sessions to explore workflows and build process maps—strong people skills and a customer-first mindset are key
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create future-state designs
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods to drive improvements
  • Align efforts with Product, Engineering, and Ops while staying within compliance bounds
  • Define impact metrics and track long-term success
  • Support change efforts through training, documentation, and clear communication
  • Account for SME bottlenecks and dependencies
  • Share insights and recommendations with senior leaders
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 7+ years in process-improvement, ops consulting, or enterprise-level transformation
  • Proven success in redesigning workflows in software-focused environments
  • Strong facilitation chops and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks
  • Comfortable using tools like Lucidchart, Miro, Jira, and Confluence
  • Sharp analytical thinking and clear communication
  • Ability to bring clarity to messy, complex environments
  • Systems-level thinking and a knack for org design
  • Confidence working with execs and frontline teams alike
  • Experience in regulated spaces like healthcare or insurance
