Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading technology organization, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team. This individual will play a key role in driving automation, reducing operational toil, modernizing legacy platforms, and improving the reliability and delivery of critical applications and services.
Responsibilities- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline operational processes and improve engineering efficiency.
- Develop and maintain Python-based tooling and automation workflows.
- Support infrastructure as code initiatives using Terraform, including module management and version upgrades.
- Manage and secure cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS services including IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or Git Lab CI.
- Partner with engineering teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to improve deployment practices and service reliability.
- Support application infrastructure including load balancers, containerized environments, and cloud-native services.
- Participate in modernization efforts, migrating legacy systems to current technologies and improving overall platform stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, automation standards, and operational best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Dev Ops, or related infrastructure roles.
- Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform, including infrastructure management and version upgrades.
- Strong AWS experience, particularly with IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Harness, Jenkins, Git Hub, or Git Lab.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience supporting applications built with technologies such as Node.js or Java.
- Strong ownership mentality, communication skills, and ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Chef, including migration efforts between platforms.
- Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes, ECS, Google App Engine, and related cloud-native services.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as App Engine, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes, Firebase, and IAM.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Cloud Watch, Splunk, App Dynamics, Grafana, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Atlantis.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Google Pub/Sub.
- Takes ownership of problems from identification through resolution.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to automate manual processes and improve system reliability.
- Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Quickly adapts to new technologies and understands the broader business impact of engineering decisions.
