Responsibilities- Design, build, operate and optimize Byte Dance’s global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud, and Edge/CDN.
- Work with cross‑functional teams such as compute, storage, database, and recommendation system to drive innovation and evolution of Byte Dance network.
Minimum Qualifications
- Good knowledge of network concepts, OSI and TCP/IP models.
- Basic understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS and BGP.
- Understanding of basic public cloud concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with network devices such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper.
- Self‑motivated, good communication and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- In‑depth knowledge of public cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
- Familiarity with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets (Broadcom, Barefoot).
- Good understanding of IPv4/IPv6 co‑existence technologies.
- Programming/scripting experience in Python or other languages.
The base salary range for this position in Seattle is $124,717 - $243,200 annually.
