The VP of Business Intelligence will lead a group of 10+ business intelligence professionals and be a senior member of the Strategy, Planning, and Business Insights group within Group Insurance. This group is responsible for working with the P&Ls and functional areas across the business to develop winning strategies, coordinating and managing the business planning process, and leveraging market research and business intelligence to drive new sources of competitive advantage for Group Insurance.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and the technology organization to define and implement the business intelligence end-state for GI, including enhancing business intelligence capabilities, consolidating/rationalizing selected business intelligence functions, and making high priority technology investments.
  • Lead a team of 10+ reporting and analysis professionals and expand the team as needed based on the targeted business intelligence end-state. Develop a talent enhancement plan for the team including development activities and career tracking.
  • Oversee a team that provides dedicated business intelligence support to GI's life, voluntary, and small market leadership teams to enhance strategic oversight of these businesses, strengthen the client value proposition, and sharpen business execution. Expand dedicated support to other business areas as appropriate.
  • Oversee a team to provide ad-hoc business intelligence support across the rest of GI.
  • Partner with the Strategy team to leverage business intelligence and analytics capabilities to enhance strategy development.
  • Build-out high priority analytics verticals for GI in areas such as sales analytics (e.g., broker scoring and segmentation).
  • Partner with GI's technology organization to prioritize and execute on business intelligence technology enhancements and to implement a robust information architecture and data governance model.
  • Partner with Prudential's other businesses and corporate functions to leverage and disseminate reporting and analytics best practices.
