Are you the kind of Solutions Architect who thrives when paired to a single strategic customer and given the runway to become their most-trusted AWS technical advisor? Do you bring both deep AWS technical breadth and the sensibility to operate inside a mission-driven financial-services organization that treats every technology decision as an extension of its values? AWS is hiring a Solutions Architect — Named-Account Lead to serve as the dedicated SA partner for an XL strategic customer in the AWS U.S. Nonprofits NFICU sub-vertical with over $10M combined Annualized Revenue across 5 active AWS engagement pillars.
In this role, you will partner with a Senior Account Executive and the broader account team (including AWS Professional Services, Customer Solutions, and AWS executive sponsors) to lead the account's AWS technical strategy across an integrated multi-pillar engagement:
GenAI Full-Stack, Cloud Migration, Professional Services, and Amazon Connect.
- Serve as the customer's dedicated AWS technical advisor of record, acting as the primary technical contact for all AWS-related decisions.
- Lead architectural strategy across all of the customer's active AWS engagements.
- Apply the AWS GenAI Innovation Center (GenAIIC) and AI Development Life‑Cycle (AIDLC) accelerator to move GenAI proof‑of‑concept work into production‑launched outcomes.
- Partner with AWS Professional Services on active Pro Serve engagements, providing pre‑SOW architectural input, mid‑engagement technical guidance, and post‑engagement production‑readiness reviews.
- Translate the customer's mission, regulatory environment, and operating model into AWS architectural decisions that honor compliance posture, data‑residency expectations, and member‑data sensitivity.
- Operate the Sales‑SA partnership cadence, including weekly stand‑ups, monthly business reviews, quarterly strategic‑planning cycles, and ad‑hoc executive engagement support.
- Drive opportunity‑pipeline integrity for the customer's active engagements.
- Adopt and promote the NPO SA org's Kiro CLI + MCP toolchain for account‑management automation to reduce administrative overhead.
- Contribute to the AWS NPO Technical Field Community by sharing reusable patterns that benefit the broader NPO SA bench.
- Travel approximately 25‑35%, primarily to the customer's headquarters and AWS / nonprofit industry events.
A typical week includes stand‑ups with the Account Executive, architecture‑review sessions with the customer's enterprise architecture team, deep dives with the CISO team on security projects, automated account‑management work with Kiro‑CLI, alignment sessions with AWS Bedrock service team, and closings with sales and SA managers. Monthly activities involve in‑person trips, GenAIIC partner sessions, and TFC community contributions.
About the teamYou will join the AWS Worldwide Public Sector U.S. Nonprofits (NPO) Solutions Architecture organization, which supports mission‑driven nonprofit institutions across the United States to use AWS for expanding their impact on communities.
