Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Systems Administrator who possesses a passion for people and technology with 3+ years’ experience in support, consulting, or a comparable field. You love driving implementations of IT infrastructure such as virtualization, enterprise hardware/software, networking, and cloud computing.

• Communicate with clients to provide regular updates on projects.
• Work in our ticketing and project management system to respond to clients based within SLAs.
• Provide internal escalation support on client issues.
• Translate clients’ requests into clearly defined projects.
• Develop solutions tailored to solve clients’ issues.
• Implement highly-available server/networking/storage infrastructure.
• Audit and implement security best practices across a wide range of devices and services.
• Support backup and disaster recovery infrastructure.

Deep knowledge, direct experience, and/or ownership of:

Windows Server :
Windows Server 2008+.
Windows Client :
Windows 7+.

Networking :
Internet connectivity, Wi‑Fi, VLANs, NAT, Firewalls, DHCP, DNS.

Microsoft Cloud/Server :
Exchange, Office 365.

Client Software :
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, Lync/Skype4B).

Server/Storage Hardware :
Dell & HP Servers, RAID.

Unified Communications : PBX.

Backup/Recovery/DR : WAN backups and replication.

Opportunities to work with these technologies:

Windows Server : 2012+ Infrastructure design/deployment/management. Failover Clustering, Hyper‑V Clusters, Storage Spaces (SOFS preferred), RRAS, NPS, RDS, AD, DHCP, DNS, Power Shell Scripting, and Group Policy (Folder Redirection, Security Settings, Administrative Templates).

Windows Client : 10+ Building Deployments, Bit Locker.

Networking :
Enterprise WAN connectivity (MPLS, EoF, EoC, T1, T3, WiSP), Enterprise WiFi, IPv6, VLAN routing, Switch CLI setup/configuration, MLAG/LACP, Site-to-Site VPN, GRE.

Unified Communications :
Lync/Skype Enterprise Voice, Exchange UM, Polycom phone, SIP trunks, TDM trunks.

Miscellaneous :
Software Licensing, Regulatory compliance, application and system monitoring.

Candidate must be able to scale communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with time tracking and time management.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Possesses business acumen and interpersonal maturity.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to follow client and internal procedures.

Must own reliable vehicle for travel within the Greater Seattle area.

Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
