Description:

**** Faculty Support of Simulated Clinical Experiences (65%)
*** Operate human patient simulators and virtual simulation platforms during learning experiences.
* Set up, operate, and troubleshoot simulation technologies and AV systems. Manage rapid transitions between simulation scenarios.
* Provide amateur acting support during onsite simulations as needed.
* Assist in the orientation and training of standardized patients.
* Develop and enhance simulation props, moulage, and mock clinical supplies.
* Support faculty with simulation data collection and reporting. Assist with faculty, staff, and student training events by preparing equipment and resources.
** Maintenance of Simulation Equipment (10%)
*** Perform regular preventive maintenance of simulation manikins, software, and audiovisual systems.
* Coordinate with technical support to ensure timely updates and repairs.
* Prepare equipment for vendor service when off-site maintenance is required. Identify and promptly report technical issues to the Simulation Technology Program Manager.
** Maintenance of Simulation Classrooms and Supplies (20%)
*** Set up and clean up simulation classrooms and standardized patient encounters.
* Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies in collaboration with the Simulation Technology Program Manager.
* Organize and systematically store simulation equipment and materials.
* Ensure classrooms are stocked and ready for use. Collaborate with student workers to support setup, teardown, inventory, and stocking duties.
** Additional Functions (5%)
*** Participate in committees and work groups as assigned.
* Assist with the development of reports, protocols, and informational resources.
* Provide tours of the simulation lab, occasionally outside of standard business hours.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Simulation and Innovation in support of the College’s strategic plan.
** Qualifications
* ** Associate degree in a health-related or technical field (e.g., nursing, respiratory therapy, paramedic, computer science, simulation technology) and at least one year of experience operating simulation equipment; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to move and set up equipment.
* Strong organizational, teamwork, and multitasking skills. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments.

** Preferred Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS).
* More than one year of experience in simulation education technology or clinical education.
* Experience working with standardized patients.
* Knowledge of current and emerging simulation teaching technologies.
* Experience with inventory and resource management systems.
