Healthcare Solutions Specialist

AdaptX is searching for a Healthcare Solutions Specialist to join our Data team. This person will have proven success working in a customer-focused healthcare IT environment. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage a broad range of technical integration, data mapping, and customer-assigned support activities. This person will oversee the technical relationship for multiple healthcare customers, ensuring accurate data ingestion, smooth implementations, and efficient ongoing operations.

They will guide data mapping, troubleshoot integration issues, run diagnostic tools, and refine processes that promote technical reliability across the organization. They will thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide customer data mapping into the AdaptX clinical data model
  • Troubleshoot data ingestion, integration, and platform issues using diagnostic tools
  • Run source data validation workflows and translate findings into actionable customer feedback
  • Maintain operational knowledge of assigned customer data environments (import schedules, S3 paths, pipeline configurations, historical full loads)
  • Provide ongoing technical support for data delays, ingestion failures, and platform troubleshooting
  • Train customer IT and analyst teams on integration workflows and operational processes
  • Escalate clinical interpretation questions to the Clinical Impact team
  • Escalate platform bugs or limitations to engineering
  • Coordinate license staging and production deployments in collaboration with engineering
  • Develop and refine systems, processes, and controls to meet evolving technical needs
  • Enhance technical reporting and drive insightful analysis for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Healthcare data infrastructure & EHR systems knowledge

  • 3+ years in healthcare IT, EHR implementation, or healthcare IT support
  • Deep familiarity with major EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) and how they operate
  • Understanding of clinical data standards and healthcare data formats
  • Conceptual knowledge of patient matching, episode logic, and data de-duplication
  • Experience with healthcare data integrations and root-cause analysis of data mismatches

Technical troubleshooting mindset

  • Ability to interpret diagnostic outputs (logs, validation reports, Python/Gremlin results)
  • Comfort with APIs, databases, and system integration concepts
  • Ability to distinguish ingestion issues, mapping errors, and platform bugs

Data mapping & validation expertise

  • Experience guiding customers through mapping hospital data into structured schemas
  • Ability to run validation tools and interpret HTML validation reports
  • Strong judgment in determining real issues vs. expected noise

Customer communication & relationship ownership

  • Comfortable owning ongoing technical relationships
  • Clear, patient communication with non-technical healthcare stakeholders
  • Responsive and reliable in customer support interactions

Nice-to-Have

  • Python reading skills (understanding scripts, not writing them)
  • Graph database concepts or Neptune familiarity
  • SaaS implementation or technical account management experience
  • Healthcare analytics or data warehouse background
  • Familiarity with AWS S3 and cloud data storage concepts

Strong Cross-group collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • Comfort with healthcare data messiness and systematic troubleshooting
  • Patience and communication skills across IT, clinical, and analyst teams
  • Ownership mentality for customer relationships and technical issues
  • Ability to collaborate closely with engineering on escalations
  • Organizational discipline to maintain documentation and operational knowledge across multiple customer environments
