This fast‑paced, day‑to‑day role supports the entire school’s technology needs—handling walk‑ins, ticket triage, printer management, AV break‑fix, front‑line event support, and device repair—while turning recurring problems into permanent fixes through documentation and training.
Responsibilities- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for faculty, staff, and students, resolving FMX tickets.
- Serve as the first in‑room responder for walk‑ins and the first hands‑on triage for emerging technology requests.
- Reduce repeat tickets by creating knowledge‑base articles and short training sessions.
- Own day‑to‑day printer and MFP fleet management, supplies, vendor coordination, and reliability.
- Perform classroom and non‑classroom AV break‑fix (panels, projection, audio) and elevate cabling/network issues to the Network Administrator.
- Provide front‑line event AV set‑up and support in the team coverage rotation.
- Own student device repair and loaner program, including warranty tracking and damage workflow.
- Lead new‑hire IT onboarding and recurring drop‑in training.
- Administer Canvas and Otus and validate authentication‑driven account provisioning.
- Administer SaaS licenses, track subscriptions, surface renewals, and right‑size with the Director of Technology.
- Build and maintain the team and faculty knowledge base and operational runbook.
- Share evening, weekend, and summer device imaging coverage with the team.
- 3 + years of technology support experience, ideally in K‑12 or higher education.
- Practical fluency across macOS/iOS, Windows, and Chrome OS; user‑level comfort with an MDM (Jamf, Intune, or Google) and an identity platform (Entra, Google, or Okta).
- Experience with LMS administration (Canvas, Otus, or equivalent), printer/MFD fleet management, and a ticketed service desk.
- Strong communicator who translates technology for non‑technical users and possesses an ownership mindset.
- Mission‑aligned, service‑oriented, and willing to staff occasional evening or weekend events.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Current Adult and Children CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or will obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Completion of two separate background screenings.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and manage long days; fine‑motor skills; clear hearing and vision; ability to sit and keyboard for up to 8 hours per day and lift up to 30 pounds.
$70,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience.
