As a Database Specialist Solutions Architect (SA), you will design complete solution architectures based on AWS database services. You will collaborate with customers and partners on key engagements, including customer discovery, ideation, whiteboard solutioning, and technical deep dives. You will develop and deliver proof‑of‑concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects to migrate applications from on‑premise databases such as Oracle/SQL Server to AWS services like RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB.

• Provide AWS customers with deep technical expertise and strategic guidance to use AWS Database Services effectively.
• Collaborate with specialist sales, marketing, and product teams to develop innovative solutions for customers’ challenges.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers’ executives, helping them navigate cloud transformation and digital innovation.
• Lead architectural reviews and workshops focused on common use cases, industry best practices, and jump‑start AWS migration journeys.
• Design and architect complex database solutions based on relational or non‑relational technologies.
• Champion industry best practices through technical thought leadership content, including blogs, white papers, and reference architectures.
• Present at key industry events including AWS re:
  
  Invent and AWS Summit.
• Educate customers on AWS value proposition for data management.
• Provide feedback to AWS product teams on customer‑specific requirements and act as primary point of contact for urgent customer issues.
• Stay current with emerging trends in Database, Analytics and Generative AI technologies.
• Travel approximately 25% within the U.S. on average.

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level stakeholders.
• 10+ years of database experience (SQL, No
  
  SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
• Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
